You need HV if you have power on all 4 pairs.
Or I'm told you might need HV if you're at a site that's crowded with lots of RF noise.

I just noticed that some of my 444apc surge Suppressors are marked LV and some are HV Does anyone know what that means? I found a chart that suggests the HV has a clamp voltage on pins 1-2, 3-6 of 69 and a non-HV (LV?) has a clamp voltage of 8. Since these are the data pairs this would not affect POE but why is there a need for 2 versions of this protector?

Your thoughts .
