They originally had lower clamp voltages on the data only pins with HV on the 
POE.   We later made all pins HV as some poor ground situations can cause 
problems with the LV units.

I just noticed that some of my 444apc surge Suppressors are marked LV and some 
are HV  Does anyone know what that means?  I found a chart that suggests the HV 
has a clamp voltage on pins 1-2, 3-6 of 69 and a non-HV (LV?) has a clamp 
voltage of 8. Since these are the data pairs this would not affect POE but why 
is there a need for 2 versions of this protector?
