They can run in half duplex mode. I know the AF24 can only use 100mhz
channels, I'm not sure if that's the case for the AF24HD or not, but I
believe it is.

Also, you don't really need sync with full duplex, as long as the other end
can't see more than one of them and you keep all of them on the tower on
either the high or the low channel, they should work fine.
