No, you're simply not understanding what I'm saying. It's not a single
issue or a handful - the entire parties strategies, platforms, and beliefs
did a complete flip from one to the other.

You can disagree if you want but you'd be ignoring many many personal
documents, public voting records, personal historical journals, etc. These
things are commonly known as factual evidence, and not really up for
interpretation.
