We've been able to work things out with the local power company and don't
notice an issue. The radios that point back to the mothership chirp very
quietly unless they are receiving a software/firmware upgrade. We worked it
out that they only perform updates to their system during maintenance
windows. When they do perform updates, it literally brings our network to
it's knees. They also have agreed to bar channel groups that our equipment
is on.

We've managed to coexist quite nicely. The smart meters are Landis+Gyr.
