the 1700 ft build to their hand hole or the 15 mile build to the datacenter ? :) Faisal Imtiaz Snappy Internet & Telecom 7266 SW 48 Street Miami, FL 33155 Tel: 305 663 5518 x 232 Help-desk: (305)663-5518 Option 2 or Email: [email protected] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From: "Chuck McCown" <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Monday, April 11, 2016 10:37:35 AM Subject: Re: [AFMUG] 10G Wave or Ethernet Pricing Why don’t you build it? From: Darin Steffl Sent: Monday, April 11, 2016 8:22 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [AFMUG] 10G Wave or Ethernet Pricing Josh and Mike, I'm not looking for internet service. We already purchase from HE and are happy with pricing and performance. I'm looking at ballpark transport pricing for 10G wave or ethernet to a datacenter where we pick up HE there. One provider has given a ballpark of $3,300 for 3-year term and $2,550 for 5-year term pending approval from engineering. They have a 1,700 foot build. We'll see if their pricing changes after they come back from engineering. This is a small town with grassy right of ways so buildout shouldn't be overly high versus being in a metro area. At some point in the near future, it will be free. You just pay the fixed port charge which will be based on the size of the pipe. I would hope you would see less than $2500. I'm told I should be seeing $2,500 or less for 10G wave or ethernet transport to an on-net datacenter within 15 miles of us. Let me know what you have all been seeing in this respect.
