Never seen this before, and my fiber crews are telling me it's impossible.

But I get intermittent FCS and Internal MAC errors on a fiber line to a house
when things get hotter during the day.

Then at afternoon and all through the night it's fine.

It's a gradual fade into suckyness with ping loss going from 1,2 -3 percent
then almost total ping loss, then fading back from that to no loss again.

The fiber crew has OTDR shot the line twice, including during the bad fade
times and see nothing wrong loss or light wise.

But I've replaced the electrical components and patch cable three times.
I've taken the equipment from the side of the house and plugged it into the
cabinet and no loss.

I can't help but feel like there is something wrong with the fiber line, but
I've never seen it do anything like this.

There is construction nearby, but this line is in a conduit and should have
been effected by that.
And what would cause this kind of fade in/out anyway?

Again, the fiber team says it's fine and swear nothing like this could ever
happen with fiber ever.

Any ideas? Anyone seen this?
