We have demo'd the realchoice product, it works as asvertised and video
quality is identical or better to our Charter cable.  The UI looks nice but
is fairly basic at this point, it's clearly a work in progress and missing
some key features. The pricing doesn't leave any room for profit, that's
been the case with other IPTV solutions weve looked at.

My biggest complaint is the choice of using the Roku as the set top box. It
has a Netflix and Hulu button right on the remote to remind the customer
you could be watching these other services much cheaper than your ISP's
cable package.

So far it's the closest we have found to a product that is possible for a
small provider like us. We are considering launching with it. But I still
think it will be a stopgap measure to attract those customers who think
they need a bundle. Maybe thats okay if they cancel the TV after a few
months and keep our internet... that's where the profit is anyway.
