There are many reasons why a popular vote would be terrible. The urban centers would basically make slaves out of the rural and farming sectors of the country. Look at the distribution of counties and how they voted. The more generally liberal urban centers pretty much all voted for Hillary. As companies who make their living for the most part serving rural communities, I would think Wisps would have their interests at heart. Small businesses and family farmers have been getting the shaft for a lot of years. Urban dwellers don't understand because the majority are not business owners. They live in a bubble.
