I am converting a lot of PMP100 2.4ghz in my network over to 5ghz PMP450 and I am wondering if there is any benefit to leaving the old PMP100 2.4ghz AP's up in the air and still transmitting? Basically the 2.4ghz band around here is -60 noise floor all over the place because there are so many Omni's in my network. Only way its all working is because of the SYNC. Should they be left up and turned on even if no clients are associated to them to keep the frequencies tied up so nobody starts using them?
