If I want to extend an RS232 connection over IP, what sort of options do 
I have?

It's for an LCD control panel for a piece of equipment.  Google shows me 
lots of serial-IP servers where it bridges a telnet session to the 
serial port, but that's not what I'm looking for.  I know you industrial 
control guys do this, so I'm sure there's a way.
