You can probably guess the answer. Assuming you're not asking
ironically or for rhetorical value: The needs of the business dictate
what I need and certain employees and officers of the company use
iPhones. Therefore I need a VPN solution that works on the current
software for that platform.
That is why Apple (indirectly) dictates what I need.
