You could drill or dig holes around the existing concrete, install sonotube,
hang anchor bolts with a template for the new tower and fill with concrete.
Then you could just tear down and erect the new tower in a day. Just swap them
out.

I am with Kurt. Mods are usually easier to get permits for. Leave the concrete
base dig around it a bit and cover it up with more concrete. I had a SS tower
fall and I used the same base and sifted the tower feet 90 degrees. It was all
a modification or upgrade.

Can you use the existing one to help you erect new one? I have done
that.... Really helps as long older tower is sound.

So we inherited this 80; Rohn 55 type guyed tower that needs to be
replaced… Its currently installed on a State Forest area, so building a new one
besides it (new foundation) seems next to imposible (permit wise).

I was thinking of ways to build one over the existing one…

    Any ideas?
