There is a 3 to 1 rule on PTP. You can set your power at 29dBi with a 9dBi antenna, 28dBi, 12dBi antenna, and so forth. Since I want a 50MHz channel and the AF24 needs 60dBi or better for that, I can get up to 54dBi or so with that antenna and a little line loss. If you don’t have any interference, and I won’t, it’s a pretty good option.

Similar to how they say the AF24 can go up to 10miles, which is effectively bs, the max 99.99% availability reliable range is 3-4 miles almost anywhere on earth that a substantial number of those radios coild be installed.
