Ok. Changing the end on the tower is not trivial, but it can be done. Get a little butane torch for the soldering.

I did most of the crimp on ends..... they are solder ends as it turns out.. ends would have to be replaced anyway

LMR 400 is perfectly good for the IF cable on a split system licensed backhaul. I would re-use it without reservation. I might just tweak the connector to make sure someone didn't half ass it and it doesn't fall apart in my hand.

We used to be an all alvarion shop, so all our joints have good lmr400 runs top to bottom. Part of contractor cleanup is to pull the lmr. We run bbdge everywhere now, but as we get more into licenced gear odu may not be the best choice to idu. Im pulling it solely for pretty, if we went idu new we would go with a heliax solution. But, as ive shown, im cheap. Would you pull it or hold on to it? Note my warehouse is full of zero dollar value stuff i "might need someday" already, and my sites are like crack dens.
