Guys, please drop this. I don’t want to repeat last fall. It has been nice
and calm here since we quit discussing political crap. Everyone has an opinion
about things like this.

But it is better if you voice them on Mike Hammett’s FB page.... ;-)

Dustin,

Don't get your panties in a bunch.. and start making comments half cocked !

1) I was not the original poster of the incident. (I was the follow up poster,
posting the link containing the story and additional details)
2) If you had followed the whole thing, you would have seen / understood that
.. it was one of the Ground Crew that look the video from a distance.
3) Yes, if you heard the original audio on the video... that is the exact
concern expressed by the person taking the video.
4) Ground crew is who took the video and called 911
5) Ground Crew to pack heat and right to defend... (so what are you
insinuating ? and OK Coral style Shootout with the Old man ? .... someone
getting killed in the outcome ? ... hmm look who is perpetuating what now ? )

Yes, the incident happened, yes this is not uncommon for certain parts of the
town... yes, we are glad that no one was hurt... and yes in many parts of town,
an armed police escort is required for the safety of the utility workers....
and No, having armed crew, with the right to defend themselves, while a knee
jerk reaction, would not be a good idea for many obvious reasons...

That’s just wrong Faisal to perpetuate this on this list. There were a lot
of great things you could have stated here:

Was AT&T on the guys property without permission?

Safety of the guy in the bucket while someone is shooting the tires out.

Safety of the guy in the bucket while engine/controls get shot out

How the ground guys handled the situation

If you allow your crews to pack heat were they in the right to defend
themselves

You get where I’m going but this list has no place for this political BS.
The sad part is you sent this to the list.

  Dustin

  Welcome to Miami

  -----------------

  Here is the sad reality....

Since this was an elderly white male, he was arrested..

If this was a Brown or Black (or a younger) Person most likely would have
been shot on sight by the Cops.
