We have seen weird issues with Toughswitches, most the 8-port versions under
heavy load. If it continues, try reloading the firmware first. If that
doesn’t work, try another switch, either a toughswitch or Netonix.

SCADA network with 31 Ubiquiti devices (AF5x, PB, NB, Cameras, NVR and
Toughswitches) and 52 devices like Phoenix Contact switches, Rockwell PLCs,
HMIs, Koyo , and Stratix router. Yesterday, a link was up but data
passing...they rebooted a Toughswitch and blowers in treatment plant turned off
where Stratix router is connected to this PLC. Toughswitch is powering 6
cameras, one AP and last port connects to Phoenix Contact switch where AF5X
back haul is connected. Two PLCs and HMIs on same switch...we tested the
reboot scenario and it did shut down blowers. We broke the connection between
our Phoenix Contact switch and Stratix router and issue disappeared. Our
devices are on 192.168.1 x and blower room devices in 10.10.254.x subnet. We
are not responsible for Stratix and our SCADA network doesn't currently poll
any devices at this blower room. We got everything back on line but with no
physical connection between both, rebooted Toughswitch and no more issue. We
stopped due to thunderstorms, but wondering if you guys have suggestions or
ideas. Thanks
