There should be a massive increase in responsiveness and battery life, as the kernel seems to be a true real-time nonlocking kernel similar to something like qnx.
Portability of apps means you learn one SDK and you've already got your apps done for Android / IOS / Fuschia - no more learning how to do one or the other or both. Vulkan SDK is a BIG deal that all of the major companies are behind. I see nothing not to like here, unless you're just a crusty, disgruntled fuddy-duddy that can barely get excited by a Z-J. :) On Sep 15, 2017 1:09 PM, "Mike Hammett" <[email protected]> wrote: > Sounds like more buzzwords meant to be the greatest thing ever, but will > likely be looked back at as a mediocre step, just like all of the others. > > > > ----- > Mike Hammett > Intelligent Computing Solutions <http://www.ics-il.com/> > <https://www.facebook.com/ICSIL> > <https://plus.google.com/+IntelligentComputingSolutionsDeKalb> > <https://www.linkedin.com/company/intelligent-computing-solutions> > <https://twitter.com/ICSIL> > Midwest Internet Exchange <http://www.midwest-ix.com/> > <https://www.facebook.com/mdwestix> > <https://www.linkedin.com/company/midwest-internet-exchange> > <https://twitter.com/mdwestix> > The Brothers WISP <http://www.thebrotherswisp.com/> > <https://www.facebook.com/thebrotherswisp> > > > <https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXSdfxQv7SpoRQYNyLwntZg> > ------------------------------ > *From: *"Josh Reynolds" <[email protected]> > *To: *[email protected] > *Sent: *Friday, September 15, 2017 1:08:24 PM > *Subject: *Re: [AFMUG] OT: New Oreo icon > > A couple of notes on this... > > The entire system is built around speed, interactivity, and quick app > development. > > The OS and apps use Google's Flutter SDK, which produces cross platform > code that runs on Apple IOS and Android.
