nope, it is watching the "core router" for that part of the network and it is certainly not going offline. this is a routed network, when this routerboard goes down everything behind it goes down but everything in front stays up. i can't ping this routerboard during the outage but it reboots/resets about 30 minutes and everything is well until it happens again.

There is no power on an rb493ah so i don't think it would be a flaky radio (rebooting the mikrotik would not fix that) I am guessing this router is 4-5 years old
