I have a need to use RDP to my desktop from China, and googling the subject
seems kinda scary. Seems the Chinese government on ALL Internet connections
is off the chart with intentions to infect wherever and however they can.

Like maybe they would sniff that traffic / passwords etc. and attack the
destination aggressively. I suppose I could have someone on the local (US) end
changing the password daily from a predetermined chart, but that seems like if
they wanted to come right back in behind you before a PW was changed that they
could inject whatever they wanted quickly.

Of course there are VPNs, which they are now getting aggressive on blocking.
But, if you could establish a VPN you are potentially giving them even more
access directly to your LAN. Some of the other advice is don't use your
regular phone (buy a burner with WiFi calling ability) and then when you are
done toss the phone. Don't put anything on it with passwords etc.

I don't know but the whole thing seems a bit daunting. I have a need for about
10 days, so I need some connectivity back to the home front.

Anybody have real world experience on the subject?

Thanks in advance!

Paul
