Think about it like this... If you are in the US, you will end up paying more for solar panels. Outside of the US? Nothing changes.
It's not going to expand demand for our goods globally. What will we end up doing, making POSSIBLY (but unlikely) a higher quality solar panel? Neat. Will it have more advanced tech? Probably not. Solar is growing in a lot of markets for a lot of reasons. Cutting imports on these isn't going to make a US version more viable in the world market, it just hurts US based jobs and consumers.
