This might be a figment of my imagination, but I thought I'd seen something on the web about an above ground protective duct/cover for drop cables. The idea was you lay the cable alongside the driveway and this cover would go on top of it and spike into the ground. It was supposed to be an alternative to burial. I feel like Google Fiber was mentioned in the article. Does anybody know if this actually exists, and if so what is the proper name for it?
