i purchased from cti about two weeks ago, same issue. even came with the warning labels. i am OK with them - i put them in odd numbered jacks.

The jacks were so tall that even with the thin cards and removing some of the jack shield there was still a danger of touching the adjacent card. So we went back to the older jacks. Wonder who you got them from as that is pretty old stock. I will replace them if you want. They slide in/out of the WBMFG APC case a whole lot easier. We did check a couple to make sure we had continuity from the shield to ground, so at least it's making connection still.
