THE WOS FILM AWARDS 14 JULY 2003
PROJECT DETAILS:
For the first time, this year WOS will host the African Woman Filmmaker's Award
ceremony on the 13th of November 2003 during the eighth edition of Sithengi, The
Southern African International Film and Television Market, at the Artscape Theatre in
Cape Town. The Award ceremony will honour women filmmakers within the African
continent in four different categories.
PROPOSAL DETAILS:
We aim for the Award ceremony to also be in accordance with the principles of African
Renaissance and with NEPAD and to make the Award Ceremony a truly African event.
To ensure that the media strategy is executed well with maximum publicity and
participation of the public and the industry, WOS is seeking out the services of a
reputable Public Relations, Advertising and/or Events Management Company with
extensive knowledge and good relations with relevant media nationally, continentally
and internationally.
We are looking for a detailed proposal and budget, which will illustrate how the
company intends to provide the following services to WOS at a reasonably minimal cost:
1. Conceptualization of creative material
2. Brand development and awareness
3. Above the line and below the line advertising and marketing plan
4. Media relations
5. Deliverables including all promotional material
Submission documents should include (2) hard-copies of;
1. Detailed proposal on the above including schedule
2. Budget for creative, operations and deliverables
3. Examples of creative material
4. Draft Media Plan including all electronic and print media
5. Company Profile
SUBMISSIONS DEADLINE: 6TH AUGUST 2003
Announcement to the industry for participation in nominations will take place mid
August therefore all packages must be hand-delivered or posted by the 6th August ,
correctly labeled:
