Hi! I wanted to invite you out to some of the end of the year Aha! artist
get-togethers -- round tables and potlucks. Note BELOW the special Aha! ARTIST
POTLUCK CELEBRATIONS including one in the Pasadena area on Sunday Dec 12 and
one in Long Beach on Sat Dec 18. In total SEVEN (7) EVENTS are listed below
for
artists in Santa Monica, Pasadena, Long Beach Orange County, Pomona Valley,
San Gabriel Valley and Sherman Oaks! If you haven't yet connected up to the
vision... do so.... cuz even if you don't the vision will find you anyway! :)
VISUAL ARTISTS AND PERFORMERS MAY DISPLAY
Visual artists can bring several of their originals to ANY of these events
and they will be set out for display. Songwriters, performers and spoken word
artists may request to perform at most of these events.
FIRST TIMERS FREE --- HOW TO RSVP
Local Aha! Round Tables are FREE TO FIRST TIMERS, otherwise they are only $4,
$2 for Aha! Members. (Potlucks, salons and special events are priced

whichever
meetings you will be attending. You are encouraged to tell other creatives
and/or to bring your artist friends to the meetings. This is a vital way in
which
artists can help in building local arts community. You will of course get to

SUNDAY DECEMBER 12 FROM NOON TO 4PM at a private at a private residence in the
San
Gabriel Valley. We willeat first at 1pm!!! There will also be performances,
art work on displayand a chance to meet and hear from many of our top Members
and Ambassadors. There are a few spots still available at this one so RSVP TO
[EMAIL PROTECTED] SOON IF YOU WANT TO BE THERE. First come - first served!
Directions are only being given out to thosewho RSVP and have made it onto the
list. (Members have priority on thisone but there are some spots allocated for
non members.) Cost to attend thiscelebration is $5 for all paid Aha! Members
or $10 for Non Members... PLUS what you bring for the potluck.)
2) The second potluck celebration is an AHA! ARTISTS OPEN POTLUCK CELEBRATION
AND ROUND TABLE -- ON SAT DEC 18 FROM 2PM TO 5PM AT SECOND CITY COUNCIL ART
GALLERY IN LONG BEACH. The gallery is at Second City Council, 435 Alamitos
Ave., Long Beach, CA 90802. This potluck celebration is OPEN to all artists
anywhere in LongBeach, Orange County, Santa Monica / West Side or South Bay
areas or
otherparts of Southern California. Round Table and eating both start at 3pm!!
It is also open to any Aha! Members or Ambassadors who want to break breadat

Female Dancers Needed
NAMAH, a contemporary Persian dance company is looking for female dancers
with a strong background in modern dance and/or Jazz or ballet. Experience
in Flamenco and/or Middle Eastern dance is a plus. Dancers will be paid for
performances, get to perform locally and on tour in the US, Canada and
Europe as well as learn Tai Chi, Flamenco and Middle Eastern dance
techniques.
Under the Artistic Direction of Banafsheh Sayyad, the James Irvine
Foundation grant recipient in Dance, NAMAH has performed extensively in
prestigious festivals and been presented by world dance presenters in the
US, Canada and Europe. Upcoming performances in 2005 include local
performances in LA (Japan America Theater & Alex Theater) and Orientale
Festival in Germany.
