The Kamusi Project at Yale and the Open Swahili Localization Project at the
University of Dar es Salaam have teamed up to produce what we believe is the
first Swahili software for children. Called "TuKsi Koti la Rangi" (Tux Paint
in Swahili), this drawing program is our holiday gift to speakers and lovers of
Swahili. The program is available for you to download now for Windows and
Linux (the Mac version will be released early next year) - it is completely
safe and completely free.
The full press release announcing the launch of the software is available in
English at http://research.yale.edu/swahili/tuxpaint/index.php
The press release is available in Swahili at
http://research.yale.edu/swahili/tuxpaint/index_sw.php
To download the programs directly, visit the English download page at
http://research.yale.edu/swahili/tuxpaint/download/index.php or the
Swahili download page at

Heri zote za Mwaka Mpya!
