interesting article, although one issue that doesn't
seem to get much mention is that some languages (like
Yoruba) will have OS version dependencies.

It should be straight forward to develop a Yoruba LIP,
but it will probably require WinXP SP2 or subsequent
versions of Windows. Additionally, it would require
Microsoft releasing updated versions of  its UI fonts.

At least thats my impression given the character
requirements of Yoruba. Igbo, for instance, would be
in the same situation.

So Microsoft's scheduling would be important. It would
be more convienient for Microsoft to release a LIP for
LongHorn, rather than for WinXP and older operating
systems. 

But then again, I could be wrong.
