Neither Muze (via CDNOW), All Music Guide (essentially the online
Schwann), nor the catalogs of K. Battle's labels, Sony Classical and
Universal Music (Detsche Grammophon, etc.), list any work entitled
"Sisters" (in English or the standard Western European opera
languages) recorded by Kathleen Battle solo or in duo with another
"classical" singer including her Spirituals album with Jessye Norman
and the Carnegie Hall Christmas Album with Frederica von Stade (on
which, according to AMG, she and von Stade play Soprano Sax in
addition to simply singing soprano...I had no idea they
moonlighted!). Neither is there such a work listed among her
collaborations with "pop" singers Janet Jackson ("janet") and Al
Jarreau ("Tenderness").

The librarianly thing to do, then, is ask for more information. Was
this work heard live or on a recording? How long ago is "several
years?" Do you have more information about the other singer (at the
very least, was it a male or female)? What did it sound like (that
is, was it a piece of "classical" music, or were they "classical"
performers performing a "popular" song? )? Was the accompaniment a
piano, a full orchestra, a jazz combo, or chamber ensemble, or was
there none at all? The above or any other additional information will
be helpful, unless someone just happens to know this off the top of
their head.
