I'm going to do the un-librarianly thing and guess. It's probably "Sisters" from Irving Berlin's White Christmas. If the other singer was white, it's probably Frederica von Stade in the Carnegie Hall Christmas Concert of 1991 (or 1992). This aired on PBS at about that time (according to a review at Amazon.com) and was released on video. I can't find how long the video is because it seems to be out of print and none of the standard sources list contents, but it probably contains more music than the single-disc audio CD release of the same concert. Sisters is from "White Christmas," so it would logically fit on a Christmas concert if they did the popular songs from that musical (but it wouldn't logically make the CD cut). Lyric snippet: "Lord help the mister that comes between me and my sister. Lord help the sister that comes between me and my man." As I mentioned, it's not on the CD and the video isn't out on DVD (and is probably out of print). Your best bet would be Rosemary and Betty Clooney on her "Mothers and Daughters" album if you want a recording. Sheet music should be available fairly readily. If I'm wrong, maybe someone else on the list knows it off the top of his/her head and can get a memory jog from your description. Cheers, Byron C.
