Being now elected or not I may direct every one's attention to the three drafts which currently for afs3 are active at the IETF website:

https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-brashear-afs3-pts-extended-names/

https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-tkeiser-afs3-volser-tlv/

https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-wilkinson-afs3-standardisation/

There has been some discaussion about these drafts in the past which can be followed in the mailing list archive

http://michigan-openafs-lists.central.org/archives/afs3-standardization/

So I invite you kindly to reenter the discussion and to submit more drafts!

Hi,

I for one am hoping for chairs to help to shepherd some drafts to completion.
We don't need chairs for technical discussion, but there is I my opinion
stalled discussion on existing proposals. Possibly that is the backlog of
work to which Tom referred.

I fail to see how we have a "backlog of work", since I've seen no
technical discussion whatsoever in the past two months, and we certainly
don't need chairs to have technical discussion.
