it's ok for me to postpone it to 0.11 since there are some things i think can be better (for example, setting a reference to
the thrown exception via a request-attribute)

Anyhow, I second David's proposal to postpone this to 0.11. We are just about to release 0.10 (a release candidate might be out as soon as this weekend) and considering the time that has passed since last release we really cannot delay this any further now that Bob and David have the time to do this :)
