Physics can't do infinity obviously, but the curve does shoot up quite fast, we 
get that...

However, if one imagines a Earth sized nanobot blob eating the solar system and 
so on, it could grow exponentially faster I think, the bigger it gets the more 
it can eat, not linear, however heat death or finite universe size/ particle 
count would stop it.
