The PDF is really interesting. My research is related as well. "Every time someone dies, a universe does with them." - Immortal Discoveries Well, maybe not if we're machines with no observers/ghosts lingering around our cortex.
Hmm, my research found something for all those too, what is his suggesting?? "Unique explanations for gravity, cosmic expansion, quantum phenomena, consciousness, and even spirituality." I hate how it brings up us observing reality. We are only reactions in the universe, we aren't special. Nothing is. We only defend our Darwinian lives. There's no "mind has no way to reach out and acquire external reality, and external reality has no way to send itself into the mind". The brain simulating the world is powerful but its not an elementary particle. So it talks about natural language and logical/formal/context-free language, and says the sciences are losing out on credible verification / insight by restricting it to non-natural data. Hell ya. GPT-2 understands natural language. Natural language to me is all data in the universe, not just text. And I disagree, logical/formal contextual-language is just natural language leaving out stuff, it's not a unique phenomena. It's like me gathering photos that leave out the colors of the skin. All is particles, there's no no contextual language & context free language either. 3rdly it mentions a way to describe the formal language itself, then that self or description, even itself. "The universe evolves by 'identifying itself'." "language, universe, and model makes signifier, object, and interpretant." "The superposition of these dual semimodels reflect the fact that reality evolves by self-dually “modeling itself” in two complementary ways, only one of which we actually see when we look outward, but in the other of which true ΓMU dynamics reside." Then it suggest the universe is a fractal where minds run physics and all universes are the target and the source, the creator of laws. "mapping into its own structure the very formal system which describes it along with any language-user reading the formal description. In relating itself to its own ingredients, M places itself in its own universe by a self-dual grammatical inclusion mapping called involution, and is thus a metalanguage of not only the formal systems in question, but itself.". Well.............All is particles, yes the universe and things in it are made of patterny shared hierarchies (and the brain models/describes the universe) where lower layer nodes model all the others like in a heterarchy in superposition. It does self-extract / evolve itself. But that's just 1 billion particles compounded by another billion surrounding them. Our insight here though is the universe/Earth with humans cells etc is a hierarchy of modelers that describe the higher parts / each other. A superposition. Yes the machines in a universe will begin predicting what will happen, even simulate physics, same thing though, all is particles reacting and the particles reacting can simulate anything possible on a digital computer using redundancy. If you think about it, our physics simulations are just bits in the pc and display recognizable images on display of 3D/2D 'physics', *there's no way to simulate physics, it will always be majestic paintings on your 4K monitor. All particles in the universe follow their laws. Our images we see/learn are just thinking food.* "and have sufficient complexity to consciously generate internal representations of themselves and their relationships with the external environment." no, no consciousness is doing any action or is testable, only philosophy "Self-images of a single Global Self-Operator. Global Operator-Descriptor”. This axiomatic equation translates as follows: “The intension of reality (the global property LM = realityINT) is dually equivalent to the extension of reality (the physical universe UM = realityEXT),” where dual equivalence describes the situation in which dual entities coincide as aspects of a self-dual identity which “glues them together” using mutually distributed structure in which they everywhere intersect." Mmm, no, too far buddy, the universe is just particles. ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/Ta7e1e17de77ee41f-M72be5355b62420a8598971d4 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
