Are you really *really *sure the world is bigger than me? Here's why I stand a chance at creating AGI: Ability check: "According to a study by EDC, as of 2018, there are 23 million software developers worldwide." https://www.c-sharpcorner.com/article/how-many-software-developers-are-there-in-the-world/ Reality check: About 500,000,000 humans are atheists. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_atheism Mix: How many of these 23,000,000 programmers are atheists? I'd guess 18,000,000. Intelligence size check: How many of these 18M are desperately trying to creating AGI (and hence collecting/creating new data)? I'd guess 100,000 humans. And we already know I know so many secrets about the universe. So I have a really good chance. Of course these 100,000 humans are the most brightest, angelical beings ever formed, especially the single most likely few of them, whom are being curated to like Queen Elizabeth's royal self. But my brain runs as fast as there's, right? As you said, computer size and speed limits the productivity ability of the AI :) Of course I'll only add to the team we have on Earth, but my point is I can still put a large dent in it, especially if I collect the right data from multiple AGI pros. ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T719d62b40213c0a8-M3014a38147319cea94e8b2cb Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
