Have you ever thought about what it would take to properly engineer a humanoid lifeform? I mean do a proper job of engineering, not just paint it orange and have buzzwords floating around it, but to do it right.
Engineering is not just packratting bigger numbers, it's about balancing all equations and optimizing among three or more contradicting variables. To do it right, you would have to go through the ENTIRE medical encyclopedia and improve how the new design reacts to and recovers from basically everything. Most of the work that needs to be done is on the molecular level within each cell. It will probably be a good idea to add nanotechnology to the cell... Good, so how will that be integrated? What is the best design? How then do you go about creating a proper species that can reproduce and evolve? It seems foolish to discard the legacy evolutionary option, even if there are now alternatives. Of greatest importance how do you design a mind that will be vigorous and sane after a million years of operation? Uploaders absolutely ignore the psychological limitations of the human brain. Designing emotions is not a trivial matter either. The movie Appleseed is a fantasy! You can't just "cut the bad parts out" of the human psyche and get something that will even work. Cut out wrath? you get sloth and cowardice... There is a season for peace, and there is a season for war. A well made mind will work well in all seasons. While the human mind works miracles in adversity, in many cases it goes wildly out of balance in times of plenty and fails to adapt its behavior patterns with disasterous results. My point here is that there are a lot of very serious probelms here that few even recognize. Obviously I am going to need massive AGI horsepower to get this work done. =| -- The vaccine is a LIE.
