Even though the evidence is overwhelming we are machines, I want to better see
into something. Who here feels alive? Put your finger in front of your eyes, do
you see it? Yes. You see it. This is you. No not the finger, but you seeing it,
this is you. The camera feed is you. Your senses, is you. But what about the
complex processing of data in the brain? Is that you? The brain's complex
processing of data is using past representations/ memories to help understand/
answer the new life problems in the future. The recall of these memories, the
decision making, etc is not you, because you only sense the decision to make.
or whatever occurs. Yes you move your arm or recall some related memories, but
you, the you, is only sensing the moving of the arm or the recalled memories of
doing so. The sub conscious is hidden, the you doesn't sense it, you only sense
the conscious, but this doesn't mean you sense the behavior of the conscious,
only the memories subC and C send you. You can discover mentally how the subC
and C both work by being sent memories. In the end, you only see the images and
feel the skin and feel the balance-o-meter etc etc. Why do I feel this way? And
what is the you, senses?, why?, I am the subC and C and the senses are nothing
without being understood by memories and mechanisms, so this doesn't make sense
at all! My conclusion is that yes we see things, but the you is the subC and C
mechanisms/ decision making which result in anything you see or discover, even
to understand a movie that plays for you - all you "get" out of it is from
those mechanisms retrieve and store and use for the future. As for the
"spiritual orb seeing senses qualia", it's not testable, what I described was
the mechanical part of us, which is all we are as well. I did poke at it, how
we feel about it. In the end "you" are a mechanism that decides what is
attended to in the future, so yes, and no, us robots see stuff in mock-sense ya
but it's really saying "what I am, is not what seeing feels like, but what I
end up seeing".
