Well, the reason I linked this paper was to show the way these guys skillfully utilized some available mathematical tools to build up a model of various consciousnesses. They generalized ZX-calculus from quantum computing and as you can see their way of doing that could be coded up relatively easily. I'm not saying this is the best way and there is still some fitting to a real quantum layer IMO. But this is in the ballpark at least of the way I am looking at this aspect of a larger cognitive architecture.
In regards to reformulating AIT on a consciousness layer I see a coexistence where they blende⦠AIT with consciousness model instantiated into computational topology.
