You can run AGI on a cheesy computer like a common household computer. It just will have little training data and therefore little things to "compute". You can tell by the accuracy that it does better than dumber AIs with the same amount of training data.
While our computers may be crappy still in terms of speed/memory, as if they are only as good as we are won't help us much, you must understand we can easily make ASIs after we reach AGI, these can run on our computers with much less training data and compute. The idea is that Brute Force takes up a ton of memory and compute, and an ASI is the opposite. ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/T079f29fb2fb0c97c-Mb072111ecbb127aab042e1b5 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
