There is a quite strong AGI meetup group in Tokyo which has regular seminars, at which I've spoken a couple times.... E.g. we have Hiroshi Yamakawa and his Whole Brain Architecture initiative,
https://futureoflife.org/2017/10/23/understanding-agi-an-interview-with-hiroshi-yamakawa/ and then Araya with their artificial consciousness work, leveraging the legend Shun'ichi Amari (inventor of information geometry) as an advisor... So some pretty serious stuff, but this mis-named conference has nothing to do w these actual Japanese AGI guys... ben On Fri, Apr 16, 2021 at 2:12 PM <[email protected]> wrote: > I'm with John, they have *no clue* what AGI means, cuz they speak > Japanese lolol.
