I asked Shelwien once if bit prediction instead of byte prediction gave a tad 
worse compression, I think he said predicting the next bit gives a tad worse 
compression. How did you find it? Does predicting the next bit give a LOT worse 
compression, or just a tad worse? Or better? Same?
