Your factoid is overshadowed by the fact that *internal* migration patterns in the US reflect people fleeing STATES of high immigration -- primarily coastal urban areas -- and are not accorded the right to exclude immigrants from the STATES to which they are fleeing. Moreover, sortocracy would result in far more than 50 social experiments -- probably more like 5000 -- within the current US. The Thirty Years War only ended once 2 conditions were met: 1) Religious diversity was permitted and, most critically, 2) Religious pluralism was _not_ permitted. (Cuius regio, eius religio <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cuius_regio,_eius_religio>) The fact that so many confuse diversity with pluralism is symptomatic of the problem. At present about 50% of the US believes a "civil war" is in the offing but that is only because they are uninformed about The Thirty Years War for the freedom to live in the kind of *community* that shared their strongly held beliefs about *both* what IS the case and what OUGHT to be the case. Denial of this not only denies the opportunity to learn whether theories such as yours are true via relatively controlled experiments, it also denies people the right to self determination -- and that's what's going to kill on the order of a hundred million people in the West long before your vision of uniformity enforced by positive reinforcement realizes the transhumanist version of the Millennium. It's really sad that people who currently feel their preferences are "on the right side of history" because recent history aligns with their preferences are in for such a rude awakening. ------------------------------------------ Artificial General Intelligence List: AGI Permalink: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/Ta32348ecc8396e1a-M51c6ea026163bd6930fbc0a3 Delivery options: https://agi.topicbox.com/groups/agi/subscription
