I like Matt's AGI acid test: "We know AGI is not yet solved because people are still getting paid to do work that machines aren't smart enough to do."
I'm not sure I agree with it, but I like it. To me AGI is more like a continuum. AGI got started really to buck the trend away from narrow AI. We remember the days of endless papers in which it was like "here is your narrow domain using your narrow mode like just logic or just vision." For a long time I thought so long as it isn't that it's AGI...
