Sorry Sergio, this is not against you personally, I know you're much nicer guy
than I am. It's just that... there is no there there in your theory.
"Entropy", "self-organization", "causality", "emergence" are meaningless
buzzwords in this context, & I am sure you will pick up more of them. I
answered all your questions, even before you asked them, it's just doesn't help.
You, on the other hand, refuse to explain what do you actually suggest to do
with the data, other than those dumb matrix permutations & scope adjustment?
What is your contribution to all that "causality", "emergence", & so on?

Boris,

Funny, I thought you were avoiding any coherent analysis. I read you website
where you talk about hierarchies, but you never told me what they are or how
you are planning to create them or where they come from. I do approve of the
hierarchies and of the way you think about them, but that's not enough. I don't
recall you considering the known laws of nature, more in particular the entropy
or the connections between entropy and hierarchies. If somebody asks a question
from you, sometimes you just refer them to your website. In your cognitive
blog, the words "entropy", "self-organization", "causality", do not even
appear. And you are accusing me of avoiding coherent analysis? Where is yours?

Regarding Adam, he told me he is a neuroscientist, and I believed him. What are
you suggesting? Should I ask for a notarized copy of his diploma? He made an
immediate contribution to my work by introducing me to Friston's work, which
isalready more I can say about you. And I am not jumping on any buzzwords, I
only started reading Friston and I am going to make my own judgement about its
value. I don't need yours, thank you very much.

Again, can we please work in a more objective way on this blog? Like leaving
our personalities at home and concentrate on facts?

Sergio

Adam,

FWIW, I don't comment on neuroscience either. That's not because I don't know
much, it's actually a hobby of mine, & I do have plenty of opinions
(http://cognitive-focus.blogspot.com/). But I feel that the brain, & especially
our current knowledge of it, is so "dirty" that discussing it is a distraction
for this list. And you don't say anything substantive either, mostly just name
dropping. Sergio doesn't have a clue about neuroscience, but he will jump on
any buzzword you drop, as long as its fuzzy enough to avoid any coherent
analysis. As you will learn shortly :).
