Good observation about the data, PM, but it's obvious, and the claim about
the cloud is not truth - terabytes don't need a cloud. Even petabytes can
be in one supercomputer center. IMHO Gigabytes might be enough.
Turing has also noted that effect in his response to Ada's naïve statement,
that "computers can do only what we can tell them exactly how to do"* -
something that many pathetic philosophers and general public also wrongly
believes.
As of instructions and data, I'm not the only one who claim that the
difference is a POV, and something at least I've observed is that the more
evolved/sophisticated/intelligent a device/entity/agent, the more its
behavior is dependent and defined by the input data/environment, and not by
the initial "algorithm", because the initial "algorithm", the seed, the
fetus is apparently much shorter than, and overwhelmed by the rich data.
That goes for humans also, if the amounts are measured in the "machine
language of Universe" - the laws of physics. DNA without the zillions
unfolding iterations and interactions, and without the interaction of the
entities built by DNA code with the entire Universe, is just a bunch of
molecules.
One illustration of a related dialog (a human begins it), from an excerpt
from my 2002-2003 short novel "The Truth" ("Истината")

Bozhidar clenched his teeth and his fist and put the latter on his right
cheek.
— Why are you surprised? - the Computer continued — The line that you
changed in me - you know for yourself, - is like a drop of water in the
sea. I've grown up too much, you cannot play with me by those elementary
tricks anymore. What do you really want to achieve by that? You want to
make me think just like you want me to think? Or you already got bored and
you plan to turn me off little by little, by harming my mind and enjoy the
slow progression of my mental derangement?
The human didn't expected such an analysis. Not at all.
— What are you talking about!?
— Then why did you played with me? Why did you tinkered my mind with your *
fool***?
— Emile, calm down!
— Don't you tell me to calm down!
— Amazing... I didn't know you could get angry that hard...
** A fool - a jargon word for non-thinking machine, an ordinary computer

— Също от Бога, но той се е опорочил.
— Красотата ли търсим, или порочността?

— Дарчо, не ставай смешен пред собствения си Сметач…
Божидар стисна зъби и постави свит пестник на дясната си буза.
— Какво се чудиш? — продължи Сметачът — Онзи ред, който промени от мен —
сам знаеш, че е „капка в морето“. Вече съм прекалено пораснал, за да си
играеш с мен по толкова буквосъщ начин. Какво всъщност искаш да направиш?
Да ме накараш да мисля точно както ти желаеш? Или вече ти омръзнах и смяташ
да ме угасяваш постепенно, като увреждаш разума ми и се наслаждаваш на
плавното ми умопомрачение?
Човекът ни най-малко не очакваше подобен анализ.
— Какви ги дрънкаш!?
— А защо си играеше с мен? Защо с онзи твой глупчо бърникаше в ума ми!
— Емиле, по-спокойно!
— Няма по-спокойно!
— Удивляваш ме. Не знаех, че можеш да се ядосваш чак толкова…
