The point is that the project of understanding the brain is full of
Rumsfelds - unknown unknowns.
If you can tell me how to estimate the number of Rumsfelds (unknown
unknowns) to be discovered in the brain, there is a point to your
question/discussion Ditto there is a point to estimating the cost of AGI.
Otherwise, you're just trying to give what is actually total confusion, a
patina of mathematical respectability and expertise - the last refuge of
someone who should be trying to have ideas, rather than estimate what they
will cost before he has the slightest conception of what they are.
Estimate the cost of "building a fair and just society" - no different from
building an AGI - full of Rumsfelds.
