This is a great interview for a number of reasons, a little stale yet < 1 year old worth watching in full if you're interested in consciousness science and technology. It relates to consciousness, quantum mechanics, AI, simulation, especially the microtubules in neurons, as well as a universal consciousness with implications and other potential ideas of non-computer based simulation possibilities. My main curiosity with this is why does this theory of consciousness require such big numbers to experience, like 10^27 even if it is collapsing quantum wave function events at 40 Hz to almost 100 Hz for some experiences.
