Greetings to all… I am a recent (October 2011) doctoral graduate who has done a dissertation on Novamete AGI (see http://gradworks.umi.com/34/81/3481012.html ). I have been quiet but monitoring the forum for some time, therefore I need to re-introduce myself to the forum.
I am Dr. Daniel Martin and I am a ‘newbie’ to the research and development in AGI, so please go easy on me when I post my research ideas. The focus of my freelance postdoctoral research is to implement the Novamente approach to AGI as a computing hardware architecture, therefore my research and development will be using the current development in OpenCog Prime. However, I humbly admit that I have much to learn about OpenCog Prime and installing the most recent release of OpenCog on a PC running Ubuntu Linux 14 as an operating system. My research and development is divided into the following main milestones that I intend to post about to the forum during the course of this week (August 11 thru 15): 1. Describe my Emulator-Translator framework based on by doctoral dissertation. 2. Describe my current project “Mini Novamente Atom” using DSP Robotics FlowStone. 3. Next step - Mini Mind OS [Operating System] to gain insights on knowledge transference. 4. Current setup for OpenCog local server for separate development PC as client. As I post on these milestones, I welcome your constructive criticism, especially from Dr. Ben Goertzel. Again, please go easy on me as I am a ‘newbie’. I look forward to discussing my research with the forum and hope that it will prove inspirational to the field.
