I reciently published a DRAFT MANUSCRIPT to my website ( orange.txt ) that gets deeply into this very issue. I don't think there should be any restrictions whatsoever about the construction of bio, nano, or hybrid bodies. Some people make up crap like we're evolving towards a Tipler Point or some other nonsense. I have no problem with the quest for any knowlege.
