Novelty may impact "importance", a number associated with Atoms that serves to (probabilistically) increase the amount of attention an Atom gets [Note: the current implementation of the Importance Updating Function happens to pay attention to "amount of learning" but not to novelty explicitly. But that's just for short-term simplicity's sake.] Also, the novelty-related GoalNodes will stimulate procedures that have led to novelty in the past. These two mechanisms may indirectly lead the system to do a lot of things, including potentially communicating about the identified novelty -- Ben G ------- To unsubscribe, change your address, or temporarily deactivate your subscription, please go to http://v2.listbox.com/member/[EMAIL PROTECTED]
