They are relevant, but the gain in parallelism is small (2x).
The kind I'm hoping for is more than 10 processors, with each
processor capable of doing nothing more than addition/multipli-
-cation.  The most important thing to have is a memory access
rate as high as possible.  Therefore the GPU kind of stream
processing is more like it.
